Nilesh has been fully immersed in music and the arts from a young age. He was 6 years old when he started developing an interest in music. He was captivated by the different drumbeats & patterns by the various instruments growing up and he joined the school band from Primary 1 right up till Secondary 4. Nilesh started learning keyboards when he was 11 years old because of the interest to play in his church. Due to the constant practices and the exposure to music at a young age, he began developing a keen sense of hearing to identify and deliver melody and chords within a few minutes of learning songs. He picked up the guitar & bass during his secondary school days and have been learning these 4 major instruments since then.
After completing his diploma in electrical and electronic engineering, and also after finishing his NS, Nilesh begun his career in running his family business alongside his dad. Due to the rigorous work schedules, his only time with music was during the nights. It was by chance that sometime during March 2016, he was contacted to be an instructor at Sinda’s GAME music. It was after diving into it that he realised his passion to teach music.
Being immersed in the arts at a young age helped Nilesh to be a better leader, and at the same time, a better team player. His musical journey started peaking after joining his current band “Groove Factory SG” and Veritas. It is because of their love, their guidance and their trust that he spends countless nights making himself better in his various instruments, most importantly the bass guitar. Nilesh has also performed on various stages/events/productions/competitions, playing various instruments in prominent locations such as, The Esplanade Waterfront/Concourse, The St. Regis Singapore, Kallang Theatre, as well as various bars across the island.
